Guinean government to declare free water, electricity and transport for 90 days.

The Guinea Prime Minister, Ibrahima Kassory Fofana has declared 90 days of free water and electricity to its citizens to cushion the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

The declaration of free water and electricity is coming at a time that many African countries are yet to provide similar assistance to their citizens.

The Prime Minister disclosed this via a televised address where he also indicated that rent prices have been frozen till December 2020, adding that public transport will also be made free for the next 90 days for everyone in the country.

He added that Prices on pharmaceutical products as well as basic necessities have been frozen. The implication of this is that traders cannot inflate prices to take advantage of consumers.
